May Those Who've Walked in Great Darkness See His Great Light

This is an entry for this week's Catholic Photo Challenge based on Isaiah 9:1 - A people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Upon those who lived in a land of gloom a light has shone.

The challenge is to share a photo that represents dark and lightness.  It is from an exhibit of artwork in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings.  I don't know the artist.  If you do please share I'd be happy to give credit.  It was on display at Mercy Retreat Center Madison Connecticut

Walking in darkness can represent many different things.  Ignorance, sadness, bondage, judgment, calamity and sin, for example. Moving from the darkness into light can mean knowledge, happiness, freedom, peace, love, and perhaps more importantly salvation and forgiveness. For this week’s challenge, show us a photo that represents the tension between light and darkness, or an image of being in a type of darkness or light.
