Sr. Maria Louise and Sammy
Welcome to my blog. I confess that I have resisted starting a blog for a long time. There are so many out there and I'm still not sure I have anything original to say, but when it gets right down to it, I'm Franciscan and a sister. That means that relationships are my life, and Jesus is my life. So if you want to talk about God, that's my favorite thing to blog about.
Likes: Jesus first, the Trinity, the Blessed Mother, the Eucharist. I love animals especially dogs. Next to me is Sammy - part lab part beagle. Beagles are tops!! For more likes see below.
From: Born in Paterson, NJ. St. Joseph's Hospital, and raised in Saddle Brook, NJ.
Education: NYU - BFA - Theatre - Yes acting was my passion for about 10 years before I discovered a deeper passion for the Lord.
Stage of Formation: Finishing my second year of novitiate. I've with the Felician Sisters for almost three and a half years. First I was a Postulant for a year, and now a Novice for two years. I will profess first vows August 16, 2014 in Lodi NJ. My vocation story was video taped for the Felician website.
Ministry: Since I am still a novice my ministry is formation - studying. After First Vows I'll be assigned to a ministry. I'll let you know when the details are worked out with that.
Interests: I have finally found where I am called in life, which means that I am the happiest I have ever been. I can't imagine life without God. Jesus is my first interest, in case that isn't obvious by now. I also enjoy photography, so expect to see lots of pics on the blog. I recently discovered a form of meditation called Zentangle. It's intense. I didn't fall in love with it at first, but the more I meditate this way the deeper it takes me. See my post with a few samples. I enjoy writing music, though the only instrument I play well is a clarinet. A little hard to sing and play at the same time. If you'd be interested in putting my songs to music, please let me know!!! I have to learn guitar!!!
Well thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this far. I look forward to blogging with you.
Freed in Christ,
Sr. Maria Louise
Very personal and interesting. Now that I learned more about you as "person" I am anxious to learn more about you as you journey forward as a Felician Franciscan Sister.
