Walls of Tribute

This Wall of Tribute has patches sent in support after 9/11.  Part of the display at Trinity Church in lower Manhattan.  A wall of support, that still stands in tribute to those who lost their lives.  It reveals the strength of human capacity for hope, support, and solidarity.

Another entry for this weeks Daily Post Photo Challenge.  Considering the walls we've erected and decorated, the halls we walk down each day, or the exteriors we've ignored or neglected. What do these walls reveal about a place, people, or you?

Why do we take up our Cross?

Chestnuts and pretzels in NYC w/ bff Pam
What difference does it make to take up our Cross and struggle to overcome our selfishness?  Why even bother?  Imagine if everyone lived just for themselves.  Besides being an incredibly lonely world, it would be an incredibly empty world.  What is it, in life, that fills us?  Why do we spend so much time, energy and anxiety caring about what other people think?
